EAST LONDON

EC. RSA. Slummies. Slumville. Heaven. Home.

I grew up in this place. I think Ive lived in East London for 13 years. I went to the same school for 12 years, moved house 4 times and Ive been surfing for 10 years. So just with those numbers, you can kind of imagine the friends Ive made, the love I have and the experiences I lived in this special place.
I only learnt to love and appriecate my home town when I started  growing up and travelling more. When I left I missed my parents, my house, my bed, my dog. I missed the beaches. and the vibes. I missed my friends and the nights out. I missed the small town dramas and the fact that if I walked into Nahoon spar on any given afternoon I would spot atleast 5 friends in the milk aisle. I crave to be at home even though it only has a few things going for it but  I guess its a small town so a few is more than enough!

Dont judge this place until you've given it a chance.Until you've made atleast one solid mate. Until you've been to a Decades night at numbers. Until you've had a friesland milkshake. Until you've scored reef or corner firing and taken advantage of sensational tuesdays!
P.S EL is small and I suggest you dont visit if you dont surf.
Slumtown pirate for life.  x oh
